Bradford S. Waddell, M.D.
Book OnlineAdult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement Fellowship
Biography
Bradford S. Waddell, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in reconstruction of the hip and knee, specifically primary and revision hip and knee replacement. Fellowship trained in adult reconstruction and joint replacement, Dr. Waddell’s practice includes arthritis treatment of the hip and knee, computer-navigated and robotic surgery, custom knee replacement, unicompartmental or partial knee replacement, hip resurfacing, hip fracture surgery, and anterior total hip arthroplasty, also known as front hip replacement.
Joint replacement of the hip through the direct anterior approach offers patients several advantages as compared to other traditional surgical approaches. Apart from a more cosmetic skin incision, total hip replacement through the front of the joint preserves important hip muscles essential for ambulation while also eliminating post-operative restrictions resulting in a more expeditious post-operative recovery. Dr. Waddell, who most recently practiced orthopedic surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York, is keenly interested in getting patients back to an active, healthy lifestyle through joint replacement.
