Biography
Zachary Crawford, M.D. provides orthopedic spine care to patients in our Brookhaven and Sandy Springs locations. He is a board eligible orthopedic spine surgeon and specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques that allow for less post operative pain and faster recovery times. He performs all spinal surgeries including anterior and posterior cervical decompressions and fusions, cervical disc replacements, cervical laminoplasties, lumbar microdiscectomies and laminectomies, and thoracic and lumbar anterior, lateral and posterior fusions, all through minimally invasive approaches. In addition to spinal conditions, Dr. Crawford treats patients with work injuries, arthritis and degenerative conditions and fractures.
Dr. Crawford attended medical school and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. He then went on to complete an orthopedic spine surgery fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Crawford has been published in multiple publications and journals and has also presented at orthopedic and spine meetings across the country including AAOS and NASS.
Dr. Crawford's philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, honesty, and shared decision-making. He believes in doing the right surgery for the right patient at the right time, which often means starting with conservative, non-surgical options. His mission is to ensure every patient feels heard, cared for, and confident as we work together to restore their quality of life.
