Coding Specialist

Director of Managed Care Contracting

Responsibilities include:

  • Serves as a subject matter specialist and consultant to operations and development with respect to pricing managed care markets and activities therein.
  • Responsible for development, interpretation, implementation and maintenance of contracts.
  • Establishes rapport and maintains working relationships with current and potential managed care organizations.
  • Drives the overall managed care contracting process, including distributions, updates to contract rates, maintenance of electronic contract files and rate databases feeding reimbursement systems.
  • Executes fee schedule and contract analysis through usage of the reimbursement system, strong excel and other analytical skills. Manages appeals process.

Responsibilities include:

  2. Serves as key lawyer/legal advisor on all major business transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field. ITIL Foundations certification. CompTIA Network+ Certification (or equivalent experience), plus 2 of either MSCE (concentration in servers and cloud platforms), VoIP PBX Certification (ShoreTel, MiTel), Network product specialist (any vendor, HP networking preferred). CompTIA Security+ or CISSP strongly desired. One additional Microsoft platform certification (Azure, SharePoint, etc) highly desired.
  • Prior experience transitioning environments from a local to a cloud environment (Office 365 and SharePoint experience desired).
  • Strong skills in network and systems security, performance monitoring and network tuning (CISSP desired).
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge in virtual environment design, implementation, management and maintenance (VMWare, Hyper-V)

IT Service Desk Engineer

The Service Desk Engineer is responsible for providing remote and on-site user and system support in accordance with company/departmental guidelines and customer SLA’s by responding to IT incidents and requests via the Service Desk Management System. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing an orthopedic or other medical/surgical practice. You will manage the day-to-day clinical and administrative operations ensuring that the practice is running smoothly and creating a positive patient experience. Works closely with the Physicians and Senior Management Team to define objectives and goals to generate a strategic plan for the clinic. Develops close community ties to promote the physicians and OrthoAtlanta Services. Duties also include preparing trend reports, analysis of protocols, budgeting, payroll activities, and meeting deadlines.

To be considered, you must have proven experience managing and maximizing the profitability of a physician group, demonstrated ability to lead physicians, successful at nurturing and developing external relationships and possess strong organizational leadership ability. Bachelor degree is required, Master’s degree preferred. Advanced verbal, written, and computer skills as well as strong interpersonal skills are a must along with staff supervision experience. OrthoAtlanta is expanding its services to include afterhours Orthopedic urgent care at many of its locations. These afterhours clinics will be staffed by Midlevel Providers.

As a Physician Assistant at one of our OrthoQUICK locations you will treat urgent conditions like: acute pain, suspected fractures or dislocations, strains and sprains, sports related injuries, tendonitis and bursitis and work related injuries. The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the clinic physicians to ensure continuity of care for the patients.

Only experienced Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners will be considered. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care environment. Candidates should be flexible and have a strong desire to work both independently and as a team member. Excellent assessment skills and a strong work ethic are required. This is a part time non-benefited position.

Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 5:00pm to 9:00pm and Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm and candidates must be willing to pick-up at a minimum of 2 days per week on a rotating schedule.
