
Biography
Jonathan E. Altman, M.D., is a dual-trained physician specializing in Pain Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He provides comprehensive, nonsurgical pain management at our Rockdale office in Conyers, Georgia. Dr. Altman treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions including back and neck pain, sciatica, neuropathy, spinal stenosis, sacroiliitis, complex regional pain syndrome, and chronic joint pain.
Dr. Altman’s clinical expertise includes interventional procedures such as epidural injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, joint injections (knees, hips, shoul ders), peripheral nerve blocks, trigger point injections, and spinal cord stimulation.
Dr. Altman earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was awarded an Academic Scholarship and recognized as a Kappa Sigma Scholar. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School, followed by a Pain Medicine fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
