Biography
Dr. Mohamoud is a highly trained physician specializing in pain medicine and physical medicine & rehabilitation. His clinical interests include the management of acute and chronic pain, spine disorders, musculoskeletal injuries, and neuromodulation. He is passionate about developing multidisciplinary and evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient to restore function and improve quality of life.
Dr. Mohamoud completed his Pain Medicine Fellowship at Temple University Hospital in 2025, following his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and internship in Internal Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cell and Molecular Biology from Winona State University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mohamoud has contributed significantly to academic medicine through clinical research, national presentations, and scholarly publications. His research interests span from pain perception in elderly populations to novel approaches in interventional pain procedures. He has presented at national conferences, including AAP Physiatry, ASRA, and the NYNJ Pain Symposium, and has co-authored chapters in the 2024 edition of Pocket Anesthesia.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Mohamoud has been an active contributor to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives throughout his training. He has held numerous leadership roles on advisory boards and student organizations focused on improving access to care and supporting underrepresented populations in medicine.
