Biography
Gireesh B. Reddy, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee joint replacement and reconstructive surgery. He sees patients at our Covington office in Newton County and is fluent in Spanish and Telugu, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population. Dr. Reddy believes that mobility drives a healthy, fulfilled life. As a joint replacement specialist, he is dedicated to helping his patients achieve that freedom of movement.
Dr. Reddy’s clinical expertise includes primary and revision total knee and hip replacement, with advanced training in robotic assisted/computer navigated joint replacement surgery. In addition, he specializes in partial and unicompartmental knee replacement, hip resurfacing, kinematic knee replacement, and the treatment of conditions such as avascular necrosis, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Dr. Reddy has extensive training and is certified in the latest robotic platforms including ROSA, MAKO, and VELYS. Dr. Reddy is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by leveraging the most advanced surgical techniques and technology in joint replacement.
Dr. Reddy graduated magna cum laude from the Virginia Commonwealth University with dual degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Duke University, before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, one of the largest and busiest trauma centers in the country. In residency, he served as the Academic Chief Resident and was nominated as an Emerging Leader by the American Orthopedic Association. Dr. Reddy then completed his fellowship in hip and knee preservation, resurfacing, and replacement at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis.
