Ricardo Lopez, OrthoAtlanta

Ricardo (Richie) Lopez is the General Counsel and Compliance Officer of IntraHealth Group and OrthoAtlanta. He is a trusted business partner and seasoned healthcare attorney bringing diverse experiences serving healthcare and life sciences clients.

Ricardo started his career at a leading healthcare law firm in Atlanta, where he advised clients on various state and federal regulatory matters. He represented healthcare providers in government and contractor audits and managed administrative appeals before state and federal agencies. Ricardo also represented healthcare providers in civil litigation, including medical staff/peer review and commercial disputes. He then transitioned to an in-house role at a global specialty products manufacturer, where he managed all commercial and operations legal matters for its newly acquired medical device division. There, Ricardo negotiated complex contract manufacturing and joint development agreements with leading medical device companies and assessed compliance with various regulatory requirements. He also implemented a contract lifecycle management system and collaborated with commercial leadership to improve negotiation strategy.

He holds a B.A. from Villanova University and a J.D. from University of Georgia, where he served on the Georgia Law Review, received the Georgia State Bar Health Law scholarship, and was inducted into Order of the Coif.
