Avascular Necrosis (Osteonecrosis) of the Knee

Avascular Necrosis (Osteonecrosis) of the Knee occurs when a bone's normal blood supply is disrupted. The affected bone cells die and the dead bone weakens. The bone may begin to fracture and collapse, leading to arthritis.
