Ankle Fracture Surgery is used to correct a fracture of the fibula or tibia in the ankle joint. The procedure involves attachment of a fixation plate made of stainless steel or titanium to the fibula and use of screws or fixation plate on the tibia to stabilize the bones and allow healing.
In observance of the New Year holiday, all Piedmont Orthopedics | OrthoAtlanta offices, including physical therapy offices, MRI, and Surgery Centers in Austell and Fayetteville will close at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, December 31, and remain closed Thursday, January 1, 2026.
We will resume normal business hours on Friday, January 2.
